| The Jefferson Davis Camp #1862 of Newton, Mississippi, |
| participated in a dedication of a Memorial Confederate Marker and |
| Memorial Service on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 2:30 P.M. |
| This Service was held at the Doolittle Cemetery in |
| Newton, Mississippi, honoring Stephen Duncan Hendon, |
| being a member of the Chunky Heros and the Company D, |
| 3rd Mississippi Regiment, C.S.A. |
| The Service was attended by about 50 people, which included |
| descendents of Stephen Duncan Hendon and SCV members. |
